Shift point is higher then that. 5600 or 5800 or something in that range depending on engine, transmission, etc.

You know you have a problem if your @ WOT and you start hitting the rev limiter.

NO!

CaptainMiller'* car is a Series 2. It shifts higher than yours. You have a Series 1.

Your car will shift at 5500-5800 at WOT depending on a few conditions.

As long as you have no KR (got a scantool?) let it shift where it wants to. If you're apprehensive after the KR scan, don't put it in Performance shift.

I wouldn't worry about it. Look at all our members posting videos in the "In Motion" section. They're not backing off

My tranny used to slip, and I'd hit 52 mph before it would bump the rev limiter and then shift. A rebuild fixed that, now it shifts maybe 5 mph lower at WOT... I pay more attention to the speedo than tach because it'* on the windshield.

BTW, Series 1 L67'* are split into two groups. The 92/93 (gen2) will shift lower than the 94/95 Gen3. This is due mostly to the rpm at WHICH the peak torque and horsepower are delivered, not necessarily at what VALUE those numbers are.

I was just wondering, what part of my post was incorrect so I do not make the same mistake again?

I live in Oakland County and can help you out... I think my times stand for itself as for what my car has done to it and what it runs. My */C Series 1 is one of the quickest ones out there and my friends N/A bonne is one of the quickest ones out there. As far as getting your setup to run right I think I'm your man.
