My dad told me all kinds of stories when he had his GN. I don't think he ever lost a race.

But we are the GN engines decendent.
Impala SS weren't that fast, but they can be modded EASILY. A series II L67'e d car has much more HP and torque. |
impala ss = waste of LT-1

I ran a 85 SS impala with my turbo volvo. the race was prestaged with me getting 2 car lengths and the hit at the start. i pulled off the line, then he was right next to me. i was able to hold him until 80-90 when he pulled away on me. good race and well worth the $20 that i lost to see what those could do. b.t.y.. he had an exhaust and intake. i was proud of how my 4 banger held up to that v8 tho. i'd like to run him again on a cold night instead of like in the summer when i did, then my turbo would spool like crazy and i should be able to hold him off. well, that's my story.... not a pontiac, but still fun to race.

yeah, i do believe this car holds the title for fastest V6 powered car (yes it was a production car) and it's only got a 3.5L V-6 |
can you tell me who in your town owns one of those?

maybe the GN can have fastest american v6 production?? :) there was the gnx too, i thought they were only made 1 year, i remember seeing somthing on speedvision about them, alot more wicked than a gn
a 94-96 SS has more hp and torque than a L67, but weighs more stock, not to much to look at or in performance. i see one around apple valley that for looks, just has tint and a drop, and it looks badass i remember seeing a motor trend comparo of a 95 SE SUPECHARGED, 95 impala SS, and a 95 SHO (manual) in strait line performance, the supercharged SE and SS were neck and neck till about 90 when the SS started pulling, the SHO tried to play "catch up" the whole time. but the aftermarket is bigger than the l67's....much more than the supercharged series I |
