going from 92-99 to 2000+...
My Bonnie is still running great and i don't plan to part with her anytime soon...but one day i'll need another car and I'd like to stick with a Bonnie: ) So anyone that has owned both generation bonnies..what are some of the differences you noticed between the two?...such as cockpit feel, handling, ect?

I have owned 3 generations of Bonnies over the years. My 89 felt like it had a lot of power (which at the time I thought it did), but then I got the 94 with the supercharger and wow what a difference in comfort and speed. The 94 was a lot tighter in cornering and obviously faster off the line. Ergonomics in the 94 were better than the 89. Seats (lateral support) was best in the 94. My 2000 has a much "plusher" ride. Less wind noise in the 2000 and a more comfortable ride, power feels better, but then again my 2000 is modded and my 94 is stock. I think the strut bar on the 94 makes handling the corners better, as does the lower weight in the 94 over the 2000. But overall I am most satisfied with my current 2000. I'm sure some will beg to differ though!

qualifications: i went from 96 SE to a 2004 SE.
very much the same feel, seats are just as comfortable and theres just as much power, if not more. more sporty looks and def gets noticed more than my 96.

Just something I did not like about the 2000+ was the steering feel. No road feel IMO. Although I do like the e2000+ overall

My qualifications, driven an abundant amount of 92-99'*, every engine/trans combo, and a couple of 00+'* Notably Rogue'* 8-Ball for a quick fun run. I have been critical of the 00+ in some mechanical aspects publically.
But you had the same engine, and even more weight? Must be the suspension'* reaction under the load.
That'* what does it for me. The new ones just feel completely dead. My 93 leaves road feel to be desired, but nothing like the new ones. I never liked our 98 yukon for this reason, GM got too aggressive pursuing a very light wheel feel.
There is plenty good going for them. The looks are pretty nice, somewhat unconventional up front, it'* not a jelly bean car by any means. Interior features are very nice, the seats might not be quite as much of a couch, but they can be heated. It is nice that they put the battery in the back, but you are tied to 1 or 2 replacements. A convetional battery would make me love that feature.

95 ssei to 00 ssei...
95 felt like a boat ride while the 00 was on rails...
95 seats were like a couch, 00 are like a car
95 had more pep down low, 00 has it all up top
the 00 information display has me hooked

I gotta say, the info centers are pretty cool, options like that tend to sell me lol...however the seats left WAY to much to be desired.

Brian sums up my opinions well.
Having the SSEi'* in 95 and 97..and having driven every flavor of Bonne out there..
I like the 00+'* a lot for looks and things. Cabin feels smaller, being taller would play a factor into how I felt as well. I'm average height...all cars were made for me.
The seat... well 92-99 AL7 seat option is the best seat I have ever sat in. Tough to compare to anything else. That was noticed by myself and front passenger on the cross country trip to Oregon. 36 straight hours sitting in one seat and never felt sore, that is a great thing. The 03 SSEi has the same seat as the Olds Aurora...while being nice, after an hour in it..I was uncomfortable.
Under the hood.. 00+ isn't the easiest to work on. If you read a couple threads...you can find to easiest ways.
