On the factory exhaust for your car, GM decided they wanted the O2 Sensor mounted vertically which resulted in what'* been termed the U-Bend. This restrictive section of pipe causes added backpressure resulting in power loss. Modifying your car with a different intake system and/or smaller pulley only makes this restriction worse. Free up this restriction with our U-Bend replacement.

It was a wise decision by GM, my GTP scrubs the undercarriage going over those long speed bumps. The U bend does restrict exhaust flow, but it does make the stock exhaust sound cool right at the U bend. I would replace mine, but I'm not modifying it unless parts fail, like my fuel pump, I now have a Walbro. It'* just the beater car, I put all my love in the Bonnie.
