Default GRRRR!

Make a long story short: Tire hits curb, tire gets pinched, rips two holes in sidewall, chrome wheel gets smacked, takes chunk out of wheel. All this and I'm 90 miles from home without a spare or donut. Luckily theres AAA, unluckily since I pulled off the busy street this happened on into a parking lot that belongs to a tire shop(closed of course, flats NEVER happen at 6pm on Sundays. ) the towing company cant legally tow my car from that lot. 5 minutes later after pushing the car to a side street we get AAA to send out a truck.

I don't know if the wheel is bad or not. Pictures to come tomorrow, if I feel like it.

Oh and Goodyear no longer makes the tires I have on there, Eagle HP, so now I need to use my winter tires.

That'* a bad deal, sorry to hear about the tire & wheel. A month ago I had a 1/2" open end wrench puncture my left rear tire. I jumped out of the car to see the tire de-pressurize down to the rim, it was crazy to see a wrench protruding at 90 degrees from the tread of the tire. Those were the Eagle RS-A'*, I replaced all 4 tires with Toyo Proxes TPT'* & they are great tires so far.

Yeah, less weight. :?
The damage didnt look as bad this morning as it did last night; being mad, tired, irritated, hungry, hot and sweaty tends to make me a little negative.

No doubt! You'd have to hit the curb at a fairly high rate of speed to accomplish that. Trying to jump the curb??
