Default Repeat after me, 'TRACTION' - - - IDD IV is On!

The fourth INTENSE Drag Day (IDD4) is scheduled for Norwalk Raceway Park on Monday, September 22, 2003.

There are now a total of five 3800 FWD race classes so everyone can compete with cars at their own level. This should give everyone a fair shot at the awards, and also increases the total number of prizes. All 3800-powered FWD cars are welcome for this full day of head to head racing in six separate classes, plus some bracket racing has been added in to make things even more interesting.

Hope to see you there!

Time to update that sig. Scott!!!

Sounds like IDD4 will be fun? What are your predictions for the Turbo car at IDD4? And what about the SSEi, haven't heard anything about that car in a while.

3800 Engine FWD - Street Power Adder Class
- four matching tires on four matching wheels (same brand and size)
- full interior (front and rear seats, carpeting, panels, etc.)
- any fuel
- any SINGLE power adder (supercharger, turbocharger or nitrous oxide system)
- stock camshaft
- any intercooler (optional)
- any complete exhaust system (headers and cutout OK)
- INTENSE GIFT CERTIFICATES: 1st - $500, 2nd - $400, 3rd - $300, 4th - $200 and 5th - $100
- in case of a tie, this winner will be determined by trap speed
So, if a car has MT ET Streets on all 4 wheels and meets all the other requirements for this category, then it is eligable for this category? And rockers still apply as stock cam, correct?

Signature is fixed. Thanks for the reminder.

The SSEi powerplant was leased to someone who needed it worse than we did. That'* all I'm at liberty to say right now. But don't worry, the SSEi will get to the track and hopefully get deeper into the elevens this season.

We're hoping for LOW to MID tens in the Turbo GTP at IDD IV.

You're correct on both counts. But if you want to run street slicks, I'd recommend the Contender Class instead of running four slicks.

We only had a few Bonnevilles at our last IDD, and would love to have a few more this time around.

Yes, but there will be people a LOT faster in the Contender class because it allows different cams, and the use of more than one power adder. Since we run the stock cam, and just the M90 on the GTP (no nitrous or turbo or anything), we are obviously not going to be close to as fast as others in that class, the Street class is exactly right for the GTP except for the tires rule, which can be easily fixed with an extra set of slicks in which we are going to need soon to replace the ones we currently use. We could just run the street tires since the track is supposed to be prepped really well, and just hope for 1.9 60'* all day. (Which shouldn't be tough with the help of the INTENSE LSD) We may not even come, but it is a possibility, and it sounds like a lot of fun.

I would love to go, but unfortunetly my ride is garaged based for a couple months getting an overhaul to the stereo, some mechanics, exterior, etc..

I hope you don't mind, but I added the event to the local MNBonnevilleClub.com Calendar. Sounds like a great event and I wish I was there.

We've already got 69 racers registered from 15 states/provinces and there'* still one more day to sign up at the $39 price.

For anyone wondering just how good the traction is at Norwalk Raceway Park, here'* an image a professional photographer shot a few weeks ago at the Pontiac Nationals:

Hope to see some of you there!
