Default Fading or old plastic looking tail-lights

I searched the site but didn't find anything on my problem. Basically the lenses on my trunk lid looked like old scratched up plastic sort-of like a milky film on them. Anyone else having this problem. Well I have a fix that so far is working great, meaning weather and washing the car hasn't reversed the affect. I used some of my plastic scratch remover called Novus, I tried it since it works well on my pinball machine. I had to apply it twice to get back the look I thought the lens should have. I got my polish on-line but any arcade shop selling pinball machines should have the stuff. I think it was like $8USD for 8 FL. OZ.

Hope this helps anyone having the same problem.
I'll post pics on my website just as soon as I can

Meguiars makes a product called Plastix that supposed to work too. I got some, but haven't used it yet ($.99 at Fleet Farm)
