Default Onstar Antenna

Has anyone removed the Onstar antenna on the rear window? Can the anything be done with the wire and part stuck to the inside of the window? And how does it look? The antenna is a pain when washing the car, so I'd like to take it off, but I don't want to if it'* going to look goofy.

Considering you might damage the thin COAXIAL cable that goes from the antenna to the head unit, I wouldn't. Its the same stuff used for XM and Sirius antenna'*. Which are known to break easily. Plus, should you ever sell the car, it would be nice to have it with it.

actually on the 03'* the XM (if equipped) has a small shark fin on top of the roof so that is a non issue....and i have never had a coax break on me...

you can remove the Antenna or the whole base, and just leave the instide part alone...
