Does your car have steering wheel controls and/or Electronic Climate Control?

A $15 wire harness will make life much easier and allow you to retain the OEM connectors. If you ever decide to sell the car, you can take your Panasonis with you and just plug the factory one back in.

depending on the year of your Bonneville, you will loose the dim function on your Automatic Temp Control unit, it will be "daytime" bright all the time, easy to get used to however. 1992-1994 i belive had this issue, maybe even 95? Your steering wheel controls, if equiped will be lost, however there is a unit you can buy that ties into the factory steering control wiring, and acts like a remote control, sending the signal via info red to the decks remote control receiver, this is if your new deck has a remote with it. And i agree 100%, an aftermarket wiring harness that will adapt to your old ones will help TONS! way less work!

Walmart, Best Buy or any car audio store. I like the Metra brand but there are others out there too. They are standardized wire colors too so all you have to do is match the colors. Red to red, black to black, white/black to white/black, and so on.

EDIT: the part number might help. It'* 70-1858
