Default The Great Carding Chase

So there are two Bonnevilles around here...one is exactly like mine...White SSE w/ body color rims...but its not that great to look at....I havn't seen it for a few months now...but what i have seen is the White SSEi /w silver crosslaces (could be white but i doubt it) and i have been trying to card it forever....about 3 weeks ago i saw it pulling into Food Lion on my way to school, but i didn't pull in cuz i was already late.....and today i saw it...at the last second in the parking lot at food lion and i should have turned arond imediatly cuz i could have made it...but instead i went up the road a bit more for my second chance to turn around which was like 1/8 mile up the road...so i go back and its gone meanwhile im trying to explain to my friends what im doing and they just dont comprehend any appreciation for Bonnevilles.... :?

but i have a plan now...what i'll do is tommorrow i am exempt from exams, so i'll leave the house a few minutes early and then find a spot and wait from him....hopefully i'll see it again....for the most part i see it at least once a week on the road that the school is on...so im thinking maybe staking out the bank or the 7-11 at the intersection.... hopefully its not a waste of 14 miles worth of gas

LOL!

I know the temptation, though. I keep seeing two different Bonnevilles on my way home from work, but they are always going in the other direction. I'll probably never really catch up with them.

On another note, most of the cards I leave are left on cars in parking lots and I usually don't get to see the owners. Yesterday, I left one on an '89 or so silver Bonneville and parked next to it before going into the store. When I put a card on a car, I tuck it carefully under the side and bottom window seal on the driver'* door, right above the door handle. It won't fall out and a person can't miss it when they open the door.

Anyway, when I got back from the store the car was gone and I saw the card on the ground. Disappointing, yes, but I figured that many of the cards I give out may end up there, as quite a few of the Bonnevilles here are still owned by older or retired people, many of whom either have no computer or don't really know how to use it. But that'* OK, because I know that every once in a while someone will check us out and maybe find some info that saves them money. Or they'll like what they see and become a happy member. It'* all good!

I am surprized at the response from the people I meet when I give them a card. A couple I want to say eww give me that card back. But I don't. There are a few sad people in this world to bad they drive a bonne.

Today though. I saw a nice black se or ssei. With tiinted windows, mud flaps that said pontiac, and a great shiney paint job. Carded it and hoping the person checks in.

Yesterday, I put a card on the drivers window sill, and it swallowed it. Dang it. The person will probobly never know.

Is this hijacking a thread?
