FLASH !!!! Must read !!!!

October's edition of High Performance Pontiac is on the stands.
Just picked up my copy today.
It's a good one.
Intercooler install Part III
Inside the new HD 4L65-E trani
....and best of all Pontiac Pavement Pounders SHOOTOUT. - Four pumped up GTP's at the Norwalk dragstrip, including Bad GTP himself, Scott Cook, who posted a best 11.176 @ 125 mph in his 600 hp turbo 3.8 .
Way to go Scott.
Good luck going for the 10's.

High Performance Pontiac.... I never knew there was such a magazine.

<Merlin1 runs to the bookstore/magazine shop to buy it!>

2000SilverBullet.... do you have a subscription to this mag? or just pick it up every so often?

Yes, it is supposed to be a very good issue from what I have heard on ClubGP. Scott has already hit 10's in the BadGTP, and is now tearing the engine apart because it wasn't fast enough for him. I believe he ran a 10.998 @ 128. Anyways, it was fast as hell.

Do you happen to know who went to that event SilverBullet? I know it must say in the article somewhere. I think I read it on ClubGP, but I don't remember.

I used to subscribe to it a few years ago but stopped because it focused on 3rd Gen F-bodies that don't interest me. Now I just buy the intermittent copy. Lately it had been good because it is featuring more of the 3800 engine mods.

Keith Lawson in his 99 Grand Am supercharged 3.4 L 15.1 @ 90 mph
Brent and Babe Dyer in 97 GTP 13.3 @ 102
Scott Cook 98 GTP 11.1 @ 125
Wes Blair 00 Grand Prix GT NA L36 14.0 @ 95

The last couple of issues featured a build up of the L67 in a GTP.
Without the intercooler it was dynoed at 405 hp
The last issue outlined the install of the ZZP Stage 2 intercooler heat exchanger and pump.
This issue outlines the install of the actual intercooler core under the supercharger with LSI throttle body. They set their mini-AFC to 100%.
Next issue will be custom fuel rails and custom exhaust system.

I agree completely. Who ever heard of anything as ridiculous as Pontiac being GM's Performance Division. Geez.

Everybody knows it's really Oldsmobile, right?

Maybe Buick?

Saturn?

Well, since they got rid of Geo, the title had to go somewhere, right :?:
