Solder wires.... On the key fob? What for?

Is the key fob bad?


On the Board you'll see the round looking battery thingy.... TSR315.... That will actually be the frequency transmitter....

I am a little lost boss..

the one for an older ranger had a seperate little square antenna... soldering a couple inches of wire to it increased the range quite a bit..

I don't think you will be able to do that with this one... But you may be able to do that with the RAC module as its antenna is in there...

If you have the ABO0302R the Antenna is attached to the opposite side of the circuit board in its own little world of sorts..

If you have the ABO0303R the Antenna is actually physically part of the Board...

Nah the fob is working fine, but Bonnevillan had me intrigued at an easy way to boost the range. Definitely not worth taking the RAC apart, wherever it is.
