Fiance's encounter with a big stick

...I thought that would get you all in here...

She drives a 93 SE. Last weekend, as I was driving up to her place, I noticed something hanging from the bottom middle of the car. I told her about it, she siad her dad would get it. Today she was driving to school (she's a kindergarten teacher) and the car made a horrible dragging noise the whole way there and back. When she got to school (the whole 3 block drive) she looked under, saw the large stick, and tried to dislodge it with her ice scraper, as her arms aren't long enought to reach it (she's 5'3"), unsuccessfully. Drove home after work and her dad got it out.

She told me to let you all know about her experience with a big stick while I was away.

I guess the "walking tall" part of the "walk tall and carry a big stick" routine won't work for her?

Don't tell her I said that.

Now the question

HOW DID THIS BIG STICK GET UNDER THERE.

Hmmmm... hehe

SSE14U24ME 04-02-2004 10:13 AM

It's a shame she didn't have some chewing gum and some aluminum foil- she could have McGuyver'd it. That guy could fix anything.

You forgot about the duct tape and the watch ( don't need a stick since it was already under the car), Geez, some people. lol

But back to the topic, hehe

How did that stick get under there?

J Wikoff 04-02-2004 02:54 PM

I'm sure she absentmindedly drove over the stick.

CFoote 04-02-2004 05:44 PM

You abused the poor stick. How do you think the stick feels??? ;)

Oh the things that man does........
Come to think of it... I can't remember anything he did exactly... I remember chewing gum... watches ... string and misc metal parts and mirrors...

Back on topic... any idea how the stick got there?
Did she run over a tree and not notice?

Umm, what's up w/ the whip in the avatar :naughty: ??!!

U'm yea big stick, did we figure out where it came from yet? :D (hey I stayed on topic, sorta)

J Wikoff 04-04-2004 01:40 AM

No idea where it came from.

scottydl 04-06-2004 12:59 AM

Hmm, I'm willing to bet that the stick originally came from a tree. :P

How many more posts can we talk about a stick?! :D

MOS95B 04-06-2004 01:01 AM

We need pictures of said stick so we can investigate further....

J Wikoff 04-06-2004 01:01 AM

From a tree? Hmm, I guess maybe. Coulda been a shrub... Where else can sticks come from?

i think trees 2

J Wikoff 04-06-2004 01:03 AM

I think the dog carried it off. If it helps, it's a small dog that was dragging the stick in a similar manner as the car was.

scottydl 04-06-2004 05:46 AM

Just like the car, huh? You mean the stick was caught on the dog's underside without its knowledge, and was dragging along the pavement as the dog ran down the road??? Now *that* I'd like to have seen....

sse1990 04-06-2004 08:21 AM

I have a feeling that if it keeps going the way it is talking about the stick, this post will get moved into the lounge, hehe.

SSE14U24ME 04-06-2004 12:26 PM

It might have been Buford Pusser's stick. The Rock may have lost it going down the road and your fiance may have found it. There could be a reward for it.

J Wikoff 04-06-2004 02:37 PM

Instead of hanging from the middle of the dog, the stick was hanging from its mouth.

PontiacDad 04-06-2004 02:54 PM

Sounds like you need skid plates for the bottom of the car if the wife is going to keep 4x4ing in it. Maybe light weight aluminum sections so you can get access when you need too

Custom88 04-06-2004 02:55 PM

I was expecting a totally different topic than what it was really about.

J Wikoff 04-07-2004 03:51 AM

Nikki thinks it's a riot...

It could've fell out of the back of one of those "tree cutting trucks". Maybe!

scottydl 04-09-2004 01:05 AM

Through my top secret sources, I have identified two of the possible suspects... 8)

Soooo, how's the search going for the tree truck and it's little dog? Just wondering!

SSE14U24ME 04-10-2004 12:30 PM

It's probably not going so well since the dog marks a tree and they cut it down. I would just chalk it up to an "ooopsie"

An "ooopsie", what kind of language is that? Is that a Mississippi thang?

SSE14U24ME 04-10-2004 01:18 PM
