Possible Rim problem

Possible Rim problem
I know I could post this in the 87-91 section but I wanted as many people to see it as possible.
Well the day started off great, had a patch panel welded in the inner wheel well, had the tips finally installed I got from Driverjohn2005, but then it went downhill form there.
After I had the tires rotated and they found some kind of staples in one tire, I had a pull to the left. We switched the tire to the right side and it pulled to the right, it happened to be the same tire that had 2 plugs installed on it. So I went to the place I got the tires and it only cost me about 40$ to replace it as opposed to the 110$ approx full retail cause they have a tread-wear warranty on them.
As we tried to check the balance on the old tire which was thought to be defective, we noticed something I have never seen before and neither did the tire guy. It needed weight added at the same spot on each side of the rim. So I thought for sure the tire was screwed. Well after installing the new tire we went to balance it and same thing, it needed weight at the same place on each side of the rim. Then checked again and needed more weight just like the old tire and on the back side of the rim it was exactly 180 from the first weight. So I started having doubts about the rim.
Drove home and there is still a pull to the right so you can't take your hand off the wheel or it goes right. So I don't think it can be alignment since the pull moves with the rims ( which side of the car it is on) and it now has a brand new tire on it and still no difference.
Can the rim be screwed up to give that tire pull??? the rim looks fine but who knows.
Anyone have any thoughts on this one?????

I don't think it is anyting to do with the driveshafts since it was pulling left when I had that rim on the left side and now it is on the right side and it is pulling right,

must be a rim, try having the tire removed on the suspected rim, then have the rim checked out on a wheel balancer. my only thoughts there.

Well I had a thought to figure out if it is a rim or tire. It is pulling to one side so I am guessing it is either that tire or rim. I am gonna have the tires switched rims so the pass tire will be on the drivers side rim and vice-versa. Then put them back on the car with the drivers side rim back on the drivers side. So only the tires are different, so if it still pull with the same rim then I know it is the rim if not it may be the other tire since I have a new tire and the pull was there before and after the new tire.
If it is the rim well either I find another ghetto gold rim or time to get some chrome happening, lol.

I'm having a problem with my front tire drivers side as well. I'm at school so I don't drive the Bonnie more than 1-2 times/week. If i don't drive it for like a week, the tire seems to go completely flat. There'* nothing in the tire as i first suspected. I told my uncle about the problem and he says it'* due to oxidation on the rim. Is there any way to stop this leaking? I'm gettin kinda tired of having to stop for air everytime i get in the car.

well for one, you should have the compressor in the trunk, two, you can go the cheap route and fill the tire with foam for slime.. but that may not fix all your problems. The other route is to grab some new rims . I have a similar problem, but its not nearly as bad as yours.

Actually I had one of the tires that was getting low so I had them unmount the tire, they cleaned the rim as good as possible on the bead and applied that black tire glue stuff and it made a good seal, no problems with that one yet.
