Default Hi, and heated seat question.....

Hi all! My wife bought her 2000 SSei back in Nov. of 2000, new. One question I have not been able to find an answer to since we got it. Heated seat option. It has all of the SSei options, HUD, 12 power seats, Bose, etc..., etc.... only thing it didn't come with was heated seats. We have never seen another SSei without heated seats, nor had the dealer. They are not sure why they were omitted from the car. Perhaps some sort of special order??? Wifey wasn't going to stand for not having heated seats, so we had some aftermarket units installed. When she'* happy, I'm happy.

Here is a picture of the car. Sorry, only pic I have of it on the computer/web, my Corvair is sort of in the way....

As for the heated seats, if your wife did not originally order the car and it was pre-ordered by the dealer, then either somebody forgot to check the box or there was a mix up at the factory. When building so many cars small stuff like this happens. I'm assuming that you guys don't even have the switches so I can't say that it'* broken

Thanks, kind of what I was thinking.....

We did not order the car, it was in a dealer show-room. Long story short, my brother-in-law was working at a Pontiac dealership, we told him what she wanted, found the car at a dealer near us, they traded a car for it. We got a killer deal on it. Whether the dealer ordered it or not, I have no idea......

No switches, no cut-outs in the center console for them, nothing. Just a sweet car surrounding the driver seat.

It'* an option and some cars didn't get it. I've seen them both ways.

Odd though...it seems that all cars slated to head to Arizona have heated seats.

I have seen them without heated seats even in the 02 and 03 model year. I agree with your wife on getting them put in though. If the wife is unhappy you will be unhappy, no other way to it!

That Covair is absolutley stunning. The best Covair I've ever seen. My wife would love one, I better not show her yours.
