Default Engine Storage!!!

I'm gonna be slapping down an L27 in my garage, need some advice. I'm not interested in the bottom end parts, they're trashed anyways. so i'm gonna need to put it on the ground. I don't have an engine stand or anything either.

How much would an engine stand be? See one in summit racing for $60.

Otherwise it'* on the oil pan now @ andy'* house, and it'* going on that here too.

I got the one from summit too.... its very good and holds alot for the money... had my 390ci engine on it and it held it all winter no prob... then did the work on it last spring and it worked great... good investment... go for the engine stand!

At least put an old tire or something under it. My dad bought a 1000lb engine stand for $46 including tax. It worked really well while working on my engine. He had to make bolts to bolt the engine up though. We looked around and couldn't find any metric thread that was 4 1/2 inches long.

Put it in a big bag, With the oil pan on and sit it in a old tire! A lot of normal parts stores have stands also.

I'd bet he'* going to P&P the top end of the donor engine, then swap it to his engine to minimize down time.
