Default Intake mod POLL

By far, the most common mod, and in most cases, the FIRST mod, is the intake. Here'* our chance to share our various methods and post our wish lists.

I took out the stock unit to modify it I actually used a bag for all the screws ( 2) and carefully taped all the wires (1)and then placed the box about 12 feet away then I PULLED OUT MY SHOTGUN AND RIPPED IT A NEW HOLE! BOOM! Then very carefully I returned it to its original location. I haven’t had time to do anything else recently. How come that wasn’t on your list?

Ty

I really set this up for your info so you could see what everyone'* done, as much as for everyone else'* benefit. Might give some folks a few ideas....lotta talk about intake mods, thought it would be good to get it all in one spot.

see now u made me log in and tel you what i did. geeez I bought a K&N cone filter parts # 9020 i think from jegs i riped out my airbox and threw it in teh garbage and then inserted the cone filter into teh rubber ocordian thingy then i started my car up and VROOOOOOOOOOOOOM dropped 3 tenths off my 1/4 mile time same conditions. the heat has nt really made a difference because i addeda cool air duct into teh airfilter area and made a heat shield from 3 sheets of aluminum to bock some heat from teh crossover exhaust pipe. hth

Hello, new to the Bonnie-world, but not to CAI. I have removed stock airbox completely, and had a CAI custom made from a 3inch piece of stainless exhaust, bent to fit in the space theat the org. was in.Tipped witth a K&N 3in cone, drilled a hole to place sensor in place. Then had it powder coated, what a difference it makes. My mods are Jet 6-way chip, head-work, bottom-end freshed up, 3 in exhaust from engine back,hi-flow cat,Ultra-flow muffler, with ractive stainless tips.
