I told her it would help the engine at higher highway speeds and keep air flowing to it so it doesn't strain. Make it more efficient etc.

I tried them on a bit of my engine and it works great.

Use the yellow wipes, they CLEAN and protect...

As for engine cleaning you can probably find a place that will "steam clean" it for you. Does a pretty good job.

I've heard some nasty stuff on generic armor all, so i've never really used it, but I cleaned my engine with a three brush set i picked up for $1 at Northern Tool and Equipment, one nylon, one brass, one steel. WORKS WONDERS, sometime a lil soap water, and just some effort. Then use vinyl/rubber cleaner (I use meguiars gold class) on all the black stuff, making all the black deep is what makes engines look nice.

It's even cleaner then this now, I also painted the letters on the cover. Can't wait for my red ADTR intake....

Maybe if I cleaned it, I could actually keep up with them damn zippy Corollas on the highway

Jim W 09-13-2003 02:19 PM

This beauty ate Corollas for breakfast

Can't keep up with corollas eh? Maybe you need a "Tuned Port Injection" 3800... Those 5 ponies and Ft/lbs gotta come somewhere! Actually i just like to keep it clean for two reasons...
1) If something breaks, then I can see what it is.
2) I like to have a nice clean car (as evident from my pix of stuff)

Oh yeah, we had pouring rain (finally) all thursday, and friday morn a lil, and my car is SPOTLESS, i love this wax.

You think that's bad? Try explaining to your mom why your car has PVC and dryer duct all thru the front bumper area....
Tell her you get better gas mileage, or something about saving money.

BonneMeMN 09-14-2003 02:07 AM

Oh i've already done it, and my dad even showed it off, to a coworker that was at our house who used to have a 92-95 bonne.

How about a L36 3800 series II, MFI, V6 High Output thats only 40 more horses than an LN3 and 35 more than an L27... He He He.... But I do have to say those L27's do kick ass..
Yeah but how much more HP does it have when the intake is pouring coolant into the block?
