Clear Tails
Got my car back from the shop(not fixed yet, looks like I'm suing the dealer for his f*ck-up on the warranty paperwork), and took some pics of my newly clear tails.
For deatails on how I did it, and how I messed up a little, see my CarDomain gallery, page 3
The lens de-laminated in a couple spots, so when I can spare the cash for new ones, I'm gonna go back and do a better job.
In the mean time I may try to repair them with some E-6000 glue.

Darker Bonnies, IMO, are better looking either stock or with tinted tails.[/i]

E-6000 is clear and actually BONDS the plastic together, instead of just cementing it.
Besides if I put it on my tires, I could glue my Bonnie to the ceiling. E-6000 is POTENT stuff.

The reds show up great, the yellows not quite as well in bright sunlight, but still visible.
One thing I'm not sure of is whether they reflect totally red when headlights shine in them, that'* the state law in Ohio. If I get pulled over I can just put the peices back in.

Kinda like little pyramids all over the plastic. Serves to dissipate (that'* the word I wanted to use before) the light, so that the whole surface lights up some, not just the bulb.
And, how do those Altezza people get away with their lights?? There'* gotta be a way to get some sort of reflector going without going back to all red.
