Default Locking Lug Nuts

I have a Bonneville and apparently the previous owner put locking lugs on it. Any suggestions?

They didn't give you the key? They make a tool to remove them when there isnt a key to use. The tool usually works good removing them.

Check the glove box or spare tire area.

No key. I looked everywhere in the vehicle. I was very upset. Does it look a lot like a socket with reverse threads in it?

Yes kinda. Has kinda like treads/teeth that digs into the lock when you turn it off.

You can pretty much get the sockets anywhere. Heck, even Autozone might have them.

Wouldn't the point of having locking lug nuts be so someone can't go buy the key from anywhere and take the rims off?

I was told by a friend of mine that if you lose the key the rims have to be either chopped off or somehow get the stud out from the back
