Default DRL'* question

Hey guys,

I want to disable my DRL'* (2005 SLE), and I know there are many threads about doing this...but my question is: My car'* DRL'* are my low beams, and i understand most Bonnevilles have the High beams as DRL'*.....would this change the process at all for me to disable them?

Thanks,
Eric

Default DRL'*...Updated!

Hey guys,

Well, as posted before, my car runs the low beams for the DRL'*, and i posted the question if its the same. I pulled the relay this morning, and mine only has 4 prongs....not 5 like all the others with the high beams for DRL'*. so my question is, would i instead jump the 30 prong to the 87 prong...instead of the 30 to 87a like the rest of you? I posted pictures of my relay so its easier to see what im talking about....

Thanks guys!
Eric

The jumper from 30 to 87a will work.
Relays can be configured in a Normally Open or Normally Closed configuration by adding or removing the fifth pin

Hey guys,

I was just looking at my car further, and looking at the hole on the fuse box where the center (or fifth pin) would be located, looks to be open and not a use-able hole. What i mean, is you can obviously see contact areas in the other 4 pins where the prongs go into, but this center hole doesnt have these contact areas...

My theory is, that the 87a would be for the high beams, and the 87 would be for the low beams....but that only make sense in theory, not necessarily electrically....what do you guys think about this? I'm not very experienced in electrical circuits/fuse boxes/relays......

Thanks for continually helping me out!

Eric

Try what I said. Remove the relay and turn the high-beams on. If both come on you're fine
