Down to One

Well thanks to a dufus I am down to just the 96 Bonneville. Monday night some joker rear ended the heck out of the 02 on my wife's way home from work. She's OK, but unfortunately the 02 is not. Lots of under structural damage in the rear. It doesn't look bad from the outside but, crawl underneath and that poor car suffered a lot or tears and crumples.

That is a bad deal. Are you going to rebuild it?? Mine was much worse and I just got it going again. I hope that it all works out for you.

did you total it out? (it doesn't take much) glad the car did it's job, If your not planning on keeping it, I can use passeger side headlamp

Take your wife out to driving class again...... She is NOT supposed to stop at red lights. :D

Glad she is ok.

Now onto the scavenger hunt.... Do you get to keep it ?... is it totaled ?.. what does the interior look like ? How about the front bumper cover, looks like that got hit too.

Just for giggles where are you ?

No decision yet on whether she is kept or not. I'm waiting to hear the insurance company's offer, then we'll see. I do not plan on rebuilding it for me ( I like the older style a bit better anyways), as I have too many project on the burner now, but will see what happens when all is settle with the insurance. It's my insurance, because the joker had no license, no insurance, not his car and no English. He was hauled off to jail, but was released later when he posted bail and paid his fines. Pretty sure no one will find him again, least in this state/country

That is so bogus... WHY do the police let these IDIOTS go when they have no ties to keep them in the area? I am so glad your wife is ok, but there are many cases like this where these people hurt someone or kill them.

Sorry for the rant, but when you are a victim, there might be "no justice" for you. I got hit by some loser once and they pinned it on me 'cuse I had the good insurance and the nice car... and I called my lawyer from the scene.

Good luck... it looks kinda bad.

John Deere Boy 04-19-2007 07:08 AM

Man i'm sorry about that deal. Police are so stupid!

tallbump 04-19-2007 07:29 AM

Man, that had to be some hit to wrinkle the hood. Looks like it held up pretty well considering.

BillBoost37 04-19-2007 07:42 AM

Sorry to hear about the incident. Glad to hear that your wife is doing well.

The bonne is a very good car for being in an accident. Did I read 92-99 bodystyle might be a consideration?
