Door interchangability

I`m not sure where this should be posted but I posted here hoping to get some quick hits. Will the doors from a 92 to 95 bonneville interchange with the 96 to 99 models?

willwren 10-16-2003 11:25 AM

The doors themselves will, but the interior and exterior trim is different.

Thanks Willwren, What you are saying then is that the skins are the same and if I put the outside molding from my 94 SE on a 96 or 97 door that no one will know the difference?

That's what the magic book sez.

Where can I get a copy of this MAGIC BOOK???

The magic book is a compilation of several 'documents' that I've scrounged and purchased. Took 6 months to assemble 1982-2002. It's not complete, but it has probably 90% of the part numbers for those years listed.

Some of the older years are no longer supported by GM, but the 8 digit part numbers can still help with part searching.

As of today, jr's3800 has a copy of it (many pages, a big pita), and I intend to make copies for the Moderators as well, so that there's usually someone on if someone needs something looked up.

It's too involved to make many copies, and there may be some copyrights at stake.

Any thoughts of making that book electronic, say *.pdf???

That idea was discussed as well, its to much to scan each page, its not just a book but more of an encyclopedia 8)
