does anyone have 20" rims
 

I am getting a 1999 bonneville in 2 weeks after just selling my car i will have lots of money left over and definetly buy chrome 20"s. Has anyone done this?

Yea there are a couple of people that you can find on cardomain.com that have it done.

I posted a link somewhere here back in August, I think. You may be able to do a search and find it, but only if the link still works! They DO fit!

They do fit and there was actually a guy who used to sell Bonneville’s with stereo systems and rims mostly to turn the systems and the rims. The cars would mostly be at cost. I think he did about 3 cars all on 20's.

i think the tire size for that would be unusual. I ran mine though the tire size calc on a link in one of the threads i think it was wiilwrens but so i didnt have to change my speedo id have to get 305/15s i think the ride quality loss wouldnt be worth sittin on 20s

Don't know about having the ride on 20's. When I pull the 17's out the shed here in a few months,(waitings for it to warm up some first) then it'll be fun time. I have noticed that the bigger rims do have an effect on the ride quality, namely making it rougther. The factory rims are 16's which is fine for just about anything you want to do performance wise, they just don't look as good doing it is all. The big rims are for show only in my opinion. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know all there is to know about rims, but I am willing to learn all that I don't know. From a perfomance stance I'd say that if you can find some large extremly light rims then you've got a winner. From the style ponit of view then all this dosen't matter as long as you can take a crow bar and fit them under the wheel wells, and its got plenty of bling bling. Just a matter of taste and objective.

I'd buy 20's if i had the money. In the spring i am buying 18's...mmm, can't wait for those! i drool over rims on bonne's. I just hope there isn't a big gap..lowering suspension is costly.

I agree with the alien , 18's are the way to go ! I think you sacrifice to much ride with 20's and having to worry about every little pothole would drive me crazy !
