Question for the S1 gurus.....
Did the late 92'* have roller rockers? My car was manufactured 6-31-92, IE one day away from the '93 model years. Is it possible I have roller rockers? Let me know, as I don't feel like pulling my valve covers anytime soon.

The SC Cars did not get the roller pivot rockers untill 1994 Production... The L27 had then for 93 Production

Yup. My 93 initially had the solid rockers.
The 92 heads will not allow you to bolt on the roller pivot heads either. 93 was a wierd year in that the L27s got them, the L67s didn't, but since both used the same heads, it is possible to upgrade a 93 L67 to use the rollers.
My 93 SSEi was an early production 93, so it *might* be possible for you to have the later heads.

No we didn't find any of the L67'* in 93 with the Roller Pivot.... But iirc both heads had the same threads bossed into the head... So either rocker should bolt up to most 93 heads... Some very early production 93'* may still have the 92 heads tho, so thats one for everyone to watch out for

I would leave it along unless you have to replace the head gaskets... There is no need for you to really shift above what the motor will do... The PCM is set to shift at 5000-5200 in first iirc.... No point in going any higher... And your valve train the way it is will handle what you can throw at it for the time being... So I'd leave it well enough alone

Yeah i figured it'* just not worth ripping the heads off to gain 5hp from rockers. I think it will just be left alone. I think the most I'll go on mods is a 2.2" pulley anyways later on.
