gots to replace a engine (pics)
well today i get a call from my sister she has a 98 se and she tells me that the engine blew in her car about 4 months ago they had change LIM gaskets and a new upper was installed but i think the antifreeze ate the bearings so the car is in my garage i have a junkyard motor comin tommorrow and im going to swap Upper intakes since the one is new and change the LIM before the engine even goes in
so tommorrow pull the old one and prep the new motor
and saturday install the new one
ill take some pics
the car only has 115k and the n ew engine has 85k

Posts like a Ricer Type-R
Ummm.....nobody was hard on it. This is a typical problem when the UIM fails at the EGR stovepipe, and allows water to mix with the oil.

she waited a week or 2 before getting the replaced

EGR Stove Pipe- Exhaust Gas Recirculation, The outlet of the EGR valve dumps into the upper intake through this stove pipe. A certain quantity of exhaust gas is returned to the engine intake through the EGR sytem.

Game..I did one the other week with Highlander. Check the EGR stovepipe..make sure it'* solidly in the LIM. Shouldn't take that long. These puppies nearly jump out of the car on their own.
