Default 110 mph WOT!!!!!

So now that EVA is back in good running order with the new mounts and solid braking, on the way to work this morning i decided to open her up a little. Today was the first day since our first snow that all the highways were completely clean and clear of ice and snow, and at 3:30 am it was an almost impossible opportunity to pass up. So I make it to my preselected stretch of high way and really get on the throttle. Gentlemen hear me when i say it was like sex on wheels. LOL The ridiculous whine of the supercharger mixed with the subtle yet intimidating growl of the series 40 flowmasters, it almost brought a tear to my eye.LOLOL jk. Any ways it was the perfect start to this morning and a nice glimpse of the bonnies potential to only get better. Feel free to reminice about ur own WOT experiences, simply because its always nice to think back on great times with ur car.

Uhhhhh... Only 110? My '89 T bird SC hit 140 + It wanted to keep going
I was I-95. About 3am. I was afraid someone would switch lanes and I'd be in the trees! . I sure hope that'* not top end on a stock SSEi? Hell my '91 Escort Gt
hit 127.

That may be his factory speed limiter kicking in at 110. Mine kicks in at 108.

Geez there'* always somebody. No thats not top end, and no my SSEi isnt stock, i dnt kno about your car but mine needs road to run and at 110 I ran out of it. I'd love to see how much farther i could push her but aside from a track not a lot of places to do it here in indy without endangeering other motorist, and especially when im on may way to work. and to my knowledge the stock speed limiter kicks in at 126 on 00 SSEi

Anytime I start the car...that'* where it'* at. The minute it starts you know it'* not stock and you aren't sure if the passenger won't stain the seat. I offer depends to them. Dunno how fast it'll go on the lower gears, at 145mph I had plenty of power left. Once I realized I was doing 145mph, my balls shriveled. These cars were not designed to speed like that, they were designed to float.

Limiters:
Stock SSEi 128mph
Stock SE/SLE 108mph
There are a few exceptions based on the door sticker and which tires were on the car when it was shipped. That speed rating determined which of the two above your car had programmed into the pcm.

Thanks for the clear up bill, i knew the governed top speed was 120 something. And whereas im no where near as far along in the mod game as yourself, my 110 wasnt a case of my bonnie straining and struggling to get to 110, it got there and quickly and was ready to go further.

Yeah usually at about 100 i start feeling shaky in the Bonnie... Ofcourse thats usually because im used to the feeling of the buddies Mustang GT where the Handling is about 100 times better as its meant for such speeds...
