Damn copy Cat with an attitude

There was a new addition to the neighborhood when a young couple (i'm 19) i would say around 25-29 moved from indiana. Lives about 5 house's down. i seen his bonny pretty clean black bone stock. i went over introduced myself, pointed out the car that is mine he compliments me on my car. no big deal i tell him there are alot more parts for his car than mine (he got a SSEi) he tell's me that he isn't interested in performance parts. we end that then I tell him if he ever wants to talk or hang out just come over when he see's the car in the street. This bastard really came home with some no name chrome 5 spoke 17's and tinted windows. i go over tell him hi and ask him about his car. he say's "oh before you say anything i had these rims on backorder for 2 months. remind you he just started moving in last week. i really didn't mind but when he told me he got the idea for the dark tint after he looked at my car. did he think i wouldn't think the same thing for the rims. then he say's his car is better than mine. the only thing he can see is whats on the outside never mind the system, the undercarraige lights, interior lights, the cat back system.

Hmmm, to bad he couldn't have been more agreeable. A lot of my friends who have larger cars are now interested in tinting because they have seen it done on mine.

Your new neighbour should maybe give the attitude a check and chill out, I'd be offended a bit if he came rollin around proclaiming how much better he is. Make sure he doesn't turn into too much of an enemy. I think he may be envious of what you have done and wants to emulate what you have done.....

He has an inferiority complex.. if his car is truly better then yours.. he doesn't have to state it.. but have ppl * such as yourself * compliment on it instead. O well.. maybe he's trying to get rid of you since his wife is checkin you out? hahaha.. jokes..

maybe you caught him on an off day.. ppl are entitled to those ( and I"m sure we've all had those days and are bitchy ourselves )

Alright that he got Tint wouldnt bug me but when he said he had some rims on back order and he just got into town last week I would say he was lying unless he got them offline and had them sent to his new adress... Bull sh** .....Anyways show this dildo what a Bonneville Club member is all about and shut him up 8)

I would say to give the guy another chance. He obviously has good taste, otherwise he wouldn't have emulated you ride. Don't hold a grudge, instead try to approach him again. Stock for stock, his engine is more powerful, but better??? I don't think so! Just different. Make an ally out of this guy and let the good times roll. Swap rice kill recipies...er...stories, etc. Look at Bill and JSeabert. They are next door neighbors and they help each other out, even though JSeabert has a Green SSE and Bill has a Green SSEi.

Send him here. We'll fix his attitude, and make him part of the team!

I have a new neighbor, probably moved in last December. He has a 96-99 SLE or SSEi, I don't remember the badges. But everytime he sees me and drives by, he slows down and checks mine out. I haven't seen any Ghetto golds on his ride yet.

But I hope your neighbor loses the attitude. I'd love to find a local here that would be on the club so we can check each other's cars out...I actually found one from Liverpool (farfreek) which is 15 minutes away. He has a 98 SSEi, but not an attitude about it.

liek i went over to be friendly and we share a common thread with the bonny. but don't try to give me flack about it. oh and i have been driving about 8-10 blocks before i get to my house and turn off the undercarriage so he dont' get that idea. and system goes off at the same time. so i don't get wondering hands under or in my car whiel i'm sleeping.

bonnie94ssei 06-03-2003 11:17 PM

Yeah, good idea Jeep2Bonny. I wouldn't be surprised if he took those ideas too. My friend tried to get scoops right after I put mine on. But luckily he didn't. Maybe I'll rip 'em off and give him mine.

Well...there's no sense in making a big deal out of it....after all, there is only so much that you can do to a car. I was one of the first few people on this board and my windows are tinted...but not everyone is copying me...but I can appreciate the grand annoyance with "my car is better than your's"

:D Tell him Tamara on Bonneville club has a better car than him now :D  A car is only as good as the person who loves and drives it :) ....oh boo i am feeling romantic and i miss you  LOL
