My 89SSE was backed into in front of my house, I understand the scientific logic- but Big white car, how can you miss it?

I hear ya. The color spectrum is just an excuse for inattentive driving...Sure, there's truth to it, it's harder to see, but not that much!!

It was city driving. The posted limit is 35 and I'm pretty sure he was going about that.

I agree. My situation was simply a careless driver who admitted to looking down when it happened. Since he was coming up behind me he still should have seen my tail lights, unless he is color blind.

Thanks. The adjuster was supposed to go out today or maybe tomorrow to look at it. Keeping my fingers crossed!

FiReDeViL 11-10-2003 06:38 PM

had i been an "inattentive" driver" there would have been a bigger situation than there alredy had been.... i have noticed that when i had my red truck, people always knew what i was doing where i was going.. hell just since i last logged on, i ran tot he mall and back almost got hit 3 times..... and after rolling down the windo to ask what the hell there malfunction was (in some not so nice terms) everyone of them stated "they didnt see me".... perhaps thats why i beleive EVRYONE should have to go thru the graduated system (although not as extreme for those of you who were grandfathered in under the new law), not just the young drivers......

:uzi: Curse of the White Bonnie :bazooka:

I hope it passes over me :!:

h1081dan 11-12-2003 12:05 PM

My was thinking about painting mine white instead of red this spring, screw that after reading all these curse stories

willwren 11-12-2003 08:28 PM

Try this:

jrsbonneville: and use the factory screws from the SSEi door pannel
jrsbonneville: why?
jrsbonneville: lol
jrsbonneville: the tweeters already had crossovers too
jrsbonneville: just had to wire them in with my pioneers
jrsbonneville: made that 7 Band Eq Cd stereo sound even better
wrens67: Damn. Good thing, those tweeters are almost 20 bucks EACH from GM.
jrsbonneville: I got em for dirt cheap at the yard
jrsbonneville: 96 SSEi I think
jrsbonneville: it had the new front end on it
jrsbonneville: totalled
jrsbonneville: and can you guess what color it was
wrens67: The tweeters from 98 and 99 are different. Weird.
wrens67: White?
wrens67:
jrsbonneville: yeah
jrsbonneville: there were 2 there actually
jrsbonneville: 95 white SE
jrsbonneville: and 96 white SSEi
wrens67: Hey, the SE I got my antenna from was white!
jrsbonneville: OMG
wrens67: No shit.
wrens67: Damn. Have to post that.
jrsbonneville: And I have a white 91
jrsbonneville: not good
jrsbonneville: but mine is two tone
jrsbonneville: silver on the bottom

willwren 11-13-2003 12:20 AM

And the other part not posted of that conversation.....

The guy that runs the front counter of the wrecker where I got my antenna is a member here. B&R Auto Wreckers. He has a white 92SE. He had body damage, and got his panels off...........a White SSE totalled in the yard.

BonneMan95SE 11-13-2003 12:54 AM

Well any curse in the world is better then a Ford

willwren 11-13-2003 12:55 AM

Amen. Just make sure you have good insurance ;)

BonneMan95SE 11-13-2003 12:58 AM

nope my dad refused to let me drain my wallet into collision on the car. So if something bad were to happen 1) no car, 2) no way to get to school so therefore I would have to drop out and I wouldnt be able to get to any place where I could work to get another car and continue my college ed

willwren 11-13-2003 01:00 AM

You tell your Dad that I said your car is fucking SWEET and he should spend the extra 5 bucks a month (cheap bastard) on the extra insurance. If he doesn't buy it, have him read this thread, but not this post.

BonneMan95SE 11-13-2003 01:04 AM

5 bucks a month? Not in new jersey thats for sure

bmsgaffer86 11-13-2003 01:17 AM

I sure hope i dont get that curse... i wont find another car with so few miles...

Another white incident (but the white one won)
