you want to explain how those happened?

mac077 03-07-2007 12:43 AM

First one...a seventeen year old girl driving on a permit only, without an adult in the car ran a red light and creamed my wife both doing about 45...second one...I was occupying a lane that a truck with a trailer wanted and he was not going to wait for me to get out of the way oh yeah after he ran his trailer down my side he decided he didn't want to stick aroumd...third one...another young lady on a cell phone decided she didn't need to stop at that 4 way stop sign and I was the lucky one starting to use the intersection. With all this luck how can I not win that 137 million dollar lotto tomorrow!!!

I know there is alot of sarcasm in there but it is a compensation for the bitterness!!

Wow, that sucks.... Hope that was the last one.... :?

Where do you live?

gojo83 03-07-2007 02:08 AM

well I spy cali plates on the first car so I am guessing there

tallbump 03-07-2007 07:01 AM

No need to apologize for the sarcasm. Heck, it's practically required here. I assume everyone is ok. The Bonnies are known to protect their occupants.

mac077 03-07-2007 01:58 PM

Yes, I am indeed in sunny California where all the drivers are polite and happy and everything is rose colored all the time! Oh did I say Fresno, California...I don't think the people in Fresno know they are part of California but then again neither do San Francisco or Los Angeles as far as driving issues are concerned. And to be honest with you I believe it is just simply a lack of knowledge of the basic rules of the road. How many years has it been for most of you out there since you have had to go into DMV and take the written test?? Have you tried taking one lately? The kids today don't have nearly the time behind the wheel as we did and we didn't have half of the distractions that they have!!
On a better note ( I guess)... no one died in any of the accidents...the wife is still having alot of deep tissue and muscle issues since the July accident and still has issues with some speech and memory loss at times but at least I can still lay beside her at night!!
EVERYBODY just be real careful out there and watch out for the other guy or girl!!!

Dude, thats what we call bad luck. Is it me or does the 2nd bonne look white??

Edited for my stupidity. The second car is white. It's his 05 SE  OMG I'm losing it lol

toastedoats 03-07-2007 02:47 PM

Funny thing, the other day, I was behind a car with a bumper sticker that read "Hang Up the Damn Phone and Drive!" I giggled all while I was behind that guy.

White silver, and sometimes gray are actually shown in studies to be colors on vehicles that are not readily noticeable. Not just pontiacs, but any cars in those colors are low visibility, and higher risk.

mac077 03-07-2007 08:25 PM

Just bought my lotto ticket...what do ya think my chances are??? It's only a mere $57,000,000 anyway so wouldn't be that much of a winning anyway!!

Oats...I think your safe on the right coast...no plans for a road trip for quite some time. Was think about the WCBC meet but not with the luck we have been having lately although I may need some of all the absolute genius here in the club to help fix the ole SSei up and get her smokin'!!

Hey, the luck has to change soon!!

Yeah, ask any truck driver. Grey rainy day, grey road, grey car, no lights. F-ing brilliiant. :x

Not you Mac, just a generalized complaint. Looks like this one is a relatively cheap repair, though, unless my trained eyes deceive me? Thinking here, no apparent core-support damage, headlights are straight, fender/hood line is straight, hood is unrumpled. So, new bumper cover, possibly new bumper mounts, and paint, you're good to go. Probably no more than $900?

mac077 03-08-2007 12:33 PM

Nice try Goneville...more like $3,200!! They actually need to put it on the rack to straighten out the front end a smidge, right front quarter panel was tweaked, hood is damaged and needs work but being that it is aluminum they said it may or may not have to be replaced depending on what the heat does to it when fixing...hey it's only money right! Wish I knew how to do some of this stuff. I have always had a desire to work on cars and when we got this one the desire really kicked in just wish I had someone to mentor me!! That is why I like this forum so much because you guys really seem to know your stuff and I love to take it all in!
