Bonneville'* are FWD....right...?
I'm about to ask what I feel is a stupid question. However, i'll preface it by saying that the person whom I want to prove wrong is stupider than I am, so I don't feel nearly as bad asking this. I don't personally own a Bonneville (I'm rollin' in a 2002 9C1) otherwise Id check for myself...
A friend drives a '93 SE...a mutual friend claims the car is All-Wheel-Drive, and swears to god he saw the rear wheels spin in the snow a couple times this winter. Now, I ignored the comment originally, as I wasn't too concerned about it, and the aforementioned mutual friend is a chronic liar. But then I got to thinking...the Bonne has what I call a horizontally mounted motor, like all FWD cars have. Cars that have RWD (Crown Vic, etc) have what I call vertically mounted motors. I can think of several ways the Bonneville -could- be all-wheel-drive, none of them simple or cheap. I can find no mention of AWD ever being an option. I can't think of any other cars, off the top of my head, from that era, that were AWD, either.
Thanks in advance!

I'd guess the "they're" to which he was referring was the 1993 SE (certainly not classic, albeit nice) to which I referred in the original post. Nice try, though.
And thanks for the confirmation, Vital...I knew it all along, I just wanted those who knew these cars to confirm it for me.

"Horizontally mounted, like all GOOD FWD cars have"
Kidding aside, you're right, I should have said most. Like with any rule, though, there are exceptions. I can't think of any RWD car that has a FWD-style motor mounting, though.
Regardless, I was right about the FWD vs AWD, and thats what matters to me!
