Default Oil pressure sensor leaks oil.

For about 2 weeks I have been leaking some oil. Finally today I threw it up on the ramps and found the leak coming from the oil pressure sensor. Right at the electrical connector. This is the 2nd one in 3 or 4 months. So I swapped it out with my spare. Thankgoodness for spare parts!!!

Are you overtightening them when you put them in? No way to get a torque wrench in there, and if you are like me tight is better than loose (pretty much a universally applied rule).

I don't see what torque has anything to do with it. It'* the plastic diaphram at the bottom of the black housing that sprung a hole in it. Just like the last one. Believe me, as many times as I have broken these things pulling/putting engines in, this is one sensor I am particularly careful with.

If he overtightened it the leak would be at the threads/block, that leak is passing through the plastic diaphragm thingy.
Glad you found and fixed the problem, those are much easier to put in then take out, I have a special socket for mine and still am 2 for 2, both I took out broke when removing them. :o

If you overtighten it you can collapse the outer housing and damage the inner components. I use an open end wrench and change them through the passenger side wheel opening. The only time I ever broke one was when I used it for a leverage point when trying to pop in a RH half shaft. I didn't have enought light up there to see my nice pry surface was a plastic electrical connector.
