2014 Impala Driver Seating Position
Okay I'll admit, I always fight with the seat for several weeks until I ultimately find a comfortable seating position - but after several thousand miles, my new Impala is still not proving as comfortable as the 08 Caddy STS I traded. Here'* the reason why. I can't seem to get the FRONT of the seat down far enough. It seems to be tormenting the BACK of my legs. Gosh, what am I doing wrong, it seems the seats are designed so that no matter what position you place the seats, whether raised up or down close to the floor, the FRONT of the seat ALWAYS seems tilted so that obtaining a flat seating position isn't possible. Is it me? Has anyone else noticed this. I know that GM is might proud of the extensive research that went into seating comfort on the new Impala, and I truly do LOVE the car, but considering I roll around 50K miles a year, seating comfort is essential.
I'm convinced the right "spot" does exist and I haven't found it just yet, but any input would be appreciated.

I think I know what he'* talking about, and I believe the lower end cars don't have the seats like the Cad'* do. On the Cads, the front and back of the bottom seat can "pivot" meaning, the front will go down and the back can go down or up. I guess like a teeter-totter. My Bonneville does this. And yes, it does make a difference on long trips. I got out of my Bville and into my Blazer and it feels completely different without being able to adjust the bottom of the seat.

on my monte you twist the button to get it to pivot i think, if im remembering right but i dont know if the 14'* would be like my 07. they tend to change features like that to depending on the trim level, you would think it would be easier just to make one kind of seat

Any input appreciated. On my Caddy and the Jetta Diesel and the Impala prior to that, all of those allowed the front of the seat to be nearly flat. It seems the Impala at it'* lowest (front) setting is still tilted up appreciably. I need the front lower so it will take the pressure off the back of my legs in that 12 inch range between my knees and mid thigh.
However this new "lower" seating position I'm thinking may cause the front of the legs to be lifted somewhat and thus eliminate the pressure and aching I'm noticing on the back of the legs.
Thanks to all for your comments.
