First Oil Change on the LeSabre
In the process of changing the oil on my LeSabre for the first time since I've had it. The grease monkeys sure did put everything on pretty tightly! I'm putting in Valvoline SynPower with a PureOne filter. Ought to be good for well over 4k miles. I changed the oil at 2k miles because the car had been sitting for a while, and this oil coming out is the "rinse" oil, and likely loaded with junk. The transmission and radiator still need to be flushed, which hopefully will happen later in the week at a shop. Still lacking the confidence to tackle those jobs.

Thanks! It'* done and over, after a quick trip (in a different car) to get filter wrenches. Darn those grease monkeys are strong. The car feels a bit quicker, to boot. Ahh, how I like clean oil!

At home I use an old leather belt to remove filters (I keep my filter wrenches at work). I have found that the belt actually works better than wrenches in some spots.
