Chevy Cooled seats, how do they work?

Hi, I just bought a 2010 Chevy Avalanche LTZ which has heated and cooled seats. Can any one tell me how the cooling part works? I know the seat has a fan inside which blows the warm air out of a vent located on the bottom back of the seat. What I want to know is, does all the cooling come from only ambient cabin air being sucked in from the seat fan, or does the seat have any Thermoelectric cooling such as a Peltier cooler? I've looked under the seat and I don't see any a/c duct work actually connected in a direct way to the under side of the seat, which makes sense because the seat has to move. Thanks for any replies.
