Racing Techniques...
I know this may have been discussed a little before but:
When launching what gear are you in? D? 3? 1?
Do you go full WOT right away (provided the tires can handle it)
If not at what point do you mash it?
I was beaten by a Mitsubishi (Gallant I think, Manual) a few months ago before my upgrades and im sure some of it was my "style" as well as needing new plugs/wires etc...

I've been debating with myself over this. I have always done it in O/D with TC on and I do fine. But when I race it a couple times in a row it seems to get really sluggish, especially when I floor it right away.
A lot of the time...if I'm pretty cool and it'* in the 60'* I ease into it till about 10mph and then mash it...and I'm happy with the results.
I'd like to be at a point where I can hit it off the line and fly the whole way..but that only happens I'd say within the first 5-10 minutes after I start my car. If I could run like that every single time I would race virtually anything that came my way.

I tried this at my local track. I came to found out that it barely made any difference in time at all. The trap speed was different a couple of mph, but thats an average anways so that dont really mater. But along the 1/4 I think i cutr off .002 of my total e.t. starting in low 1 and going up.
