Default A cheap adapter to bring the M62 to the masses

Adapter Manifold, Eaton M62 Supercharger, Buick Pontiac

eBay member rtcjpa has done it! Finally something to do with those old M62 superchargers!

Build you own supercharger system! This is a new, low profile version of our supercharger adapter.

One of the hardest parts of adding a supercharger is connecting the blower to your motor. The Eaton M62 blower (found on early to mid 90'* Pontiac Bonneville, Buick Riviera, etc) is common and easy to find. The size makes it perfect for boosting many 4 and 6 cylinder motors. But the mounting surface is oddly shaped and the holes seem randomly placed.

This item fixes that problem! It is an adapter that bolts to the odd shape, and gives you flat, square, easy to work with mounting points. Its made of cast aluminum, and has four mounting holes on the flat ends. All holes have military standard thread locking inserts installed. There is plenty of extra material and flat surfaces if you need to add your own mounting holes.

Rather than the removable outlet of our other adapter, this one had the 2.5" tubing outlet machined right into the casting. This still allows easy connection of commonly available 2.5" intercooler/turbo hoses, but is more compact.

This auction is for the adapter only! The supercharger, intercooler plumbing, motor, car, garage, etc are NOT included.

For more info on the Eaton M62, please see: http://www.eaton.com/EatonCom/Produc.../M62/index.htm
This is so awesome! It'* a bit of a shame that they've got a 2.5" outlet, but perhaps that'* to help keep the pressure going through the intercooler and such. Now if only they could do this for an M90 or M112... Why the M62?

Two of those would be great bolted to each side of my Jaguar V12.

The M62 is meant for 2.0-4.0L engines. It could be done... Hey, I've got maybe 3 or so M62s!

Right, so two of them on a 5.3L V12, yeah I think it would be pretty badass.

I just got an email back from the seller after I asked him about an M90 adapter and what the car in the pics was.

The car in the picture is a '72 Datsun 240Z, with a 280Z motor. 2.8L straight 6. The car'* been stripped and lightened, so its not much over 2000 lbs. I don't have a write-up yet, but I will be working on that.

We're actually almost done with a M90 adapter. It is a bigger chunk of aluminum, so it'll be a little more expensive, but not too much. Right now it has a 3" outlet, but we can bolt on a 2.5" one, too. That should be listed in the next few days. Thanks for your interest! James

It'* always time to boost no matter what you have that'* naturally aspirated. You could conceivably use an adapter like this to twin-charge an L67, too!
