Default Exhaust Worries

I'm trying to be sure that I order everything correctly for my exhaust...I was planning to get the magnaflow #94836 catalytic converter, but i went out and measured my downpipe, and call me crazy, but holding a tape measure up to it, i believe it is 3" pipe......i thought it was all supposed to be 2.5" pipe

does anyone else have a 3" downpipe?

and yes, it'* stock, never been changed

Ok then i will order the 2.5" cat........is it a problem i don't have that flange on the end of my downpipe? I'm assuming the shop can match up the thick 3" to the 2.5" on the cat
