Default If you had to buy another car (excluding Bonnie'*) what

would you choose and why.
I myself love Pontiac'*, before I ever heard of the Bonnie'* I was looking into the Grand am, Grand Prixs.... and hubby loves the older Cadies...which he owns a fleetwood(Spelling?) right now. An 89 I believe.
So what would be your choice (make and year please...)

Take a Caddy 500 engine (500 cubic inches of doom and then stroke it to 570) from a 1970 through 1976 Cadillac El Dorado and drop it into a bug or Datsun. :P

Or a LS1 Camaro/Firebird. Either way.

Where to start...

A 1992 Lincoln Mark VII LSC...
Any GTO...
A 1969-1973 Pontiac Grand Prix (I know that the '73 was the new body--but I like it anyway)...
Any American Motors Gremlin (Ugly as hell)...
A 1986-1987 Chevette SC (two door, 5 speed)...
A 1987 Buick GN or GNX...
Any VW Bug (non Super) or Carmen Ghia...
Any Westfalia VW Camper (1968-1972 prefered)...
A 1969 Mustang fastback (with the 429)...
A 1969 Buick GSX...
This question is impossible to answer! Not fair...systems over...load...must....get....help...

Good luck, If I'm not mistaken the '78 was the last year for the Poncho 400 in the T/A. I think that in '79 they started using the Olds 402 (or some odd big block from olds--something to do with emissions and too much NOx from the high compression of the 400). Someone can correct me if I'm wrong...I don't know everything and my memory is failing as I am an old fart.

The '79 does have a 400. It'* a special edition. Last year they made it. I've wanted this car for a long time.

Strange, but simple answer: Dodge Spirit R/T with the 2.2L intercooled turbo engine.

I'm into rare and undesired cars, however the Spirit R/T is a beast from hell that takes no prisoners.

Sol,

The 25 th anniversary edition was one of my favorite T/A'*. But I was pretty sure that they went with the Olds engine (same designation on the shaker--6.6 litre). In any event, it was a fine car indeed. When you find one, you'll have to drive over to Kazoo and take me for a spin. I can only dream of owning a T/A--family and all. Take advantage of your youth while you can! There will come a day when kids will make owning such a car a luxury.

Hey, no problem man. I'll be going to college near that area next year. But to clear this engine debate up, I did research it. Yes, there was an Olds 403 in there, but there were some made with the 400. It was the last year for the 400.
