Can water make it in through high-flow intake?
 

Will the oil on the filter repel water pretty good? IM a bit concerned because I pop my hood and I see dry watter droplets all over the engine compartment and im a bit concerned that when im driving in the rain some of the drops of water will creep around the headlight and land on my intake filter. IS this something to be of concern about? Will an occasional water droplet be ok if it lands on the fitler? Thanks.

Water (in small amounts like you're asking about) is actually beneficial to the combustion process and your engine internals. It helps keep things clean, and helps keep combustion temps down.

That's why water injection is used in some performance applications. Including many of our fighters and bombers in WWII.

I've never had any trouble with my Intense fenderwell intake...I've driven in very very rainy conditions for hourse on end with it.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was actually thinking for a while that if I ever decide to make ducts to pump cool air near the intake that I should set up a scheme to somehow drain the water.

well as long as you are not sucking up water in the engine you should be allright..
