Default Engine has been doing funny things

And I don't mean ha ha.

For the past month or so I've been having problems with KR. Not all the time, just now and then. This is something that Bill and I have exchanged a few Emails about. I removed my 2.9" and went to the 3.0", no real change. I tweaked my tune. Thought it was fixed a few times, but it kept coming back. I never have any at WOT. This was like 15* of KR and under some load when cruising. I began to thing the tune was fine and perhaps I had a bad motor mount. But life just didn't give me much time. I really thought it would be a bad trans mount, so I did check them. Today I again saw KR so I decided to pop the hood and take a peek. And this is what I found.

I had to run out and buy a new bolt. I tightened the mount back down and went for a drive Didn't see any KR. Also no surging. Stupid nut.

KR is knock retard. When the sensor hears knock, or predetonation it pulls timing to protect the engine. The problem is, metal on metal also causes noise the sensors think is knock.

Ya, still interested in the trans mount. I want to build a much stronger then stock mount.

It'* nothing I'm in a big hurry about right now, so no rush. Chances are I'm not doing much to my car anymore this year. Time to start thinking about a spring project.

Right now I'm thinking my spring project is going to be my shop. So many tools, so little time.

You need a nut for that old bolt? I have a couple laying around. Oh..and next time...tighten that nut....lol Clearly you and I work on our cars too much as I've had a bolt go missing in the past too. Trans bolt though.

Please take a closer look at that TA mount, from your pic it looks like there'* a lot of extra space to the back of the mount. Probably is blown out and when you get on it the motor is pushing against the metal of the body side of the mount.
