1999 4T65E replacing 1997 4T60E ?

Default 1999 4T65E replacing 1997 4T60E ?

I have a 1999 olds 88, 3.8 */2 eng, I want to put the trans in my 1997 pontiac bonney se 3.8 */2 eng, will it work?the 99 olds has 4T65E trans, the 97 bonney has 4T60E. after much research i heard it will work just have to change the cpu from olds to bonney? and then i heard it would not work. i would appreciate any input into this matter , TY all for your time !
