Default More Intake troubles

Hey Gang.. You won't believe this. Me and Intake Manifolds just don't get along..

Early last year I had the intake done on the 03 SSEi at 21K miles (warranty).. Early this year, my daily driver 94 Chevy 350 started leaking so I rebuilt to top of that one. Now, it'* less than a week before Christmas and our '99 Suburban with 40K miles on it is leaving small puddles daily!!! The worst part of it, going to the folks house for Christmas really requires the Suburban! Why couldn't it have done this a month ago or two months ago!

Basically, three years in a row I begin the year with an Intake leak fix to do.. ARGH!!

At this point, I hope the 'burban makes the trip.. I am NOT going to tackle it before a long trip. Not only would I be in a hurry, but what if something isn't together right.... Just venting.. Any of you tackle a Vortec intake sealup?

I don't know.. That '99 looks like a lot more work. That '94 didn't have a A/C compressor in the way, A/C bracket in the way, one valve cover in the way, fuel lines hard to disconnect.. Then I assume you got to get the Vortec perfect since the bolts are only 11 ft pounds. Amazing they don't leak anyhow.

94'* X-cab runs the green stuff. Can't figure out why GM didn't put more bolts on that Vortec intake so it could be torqued down at 35(?) ft lbs like the old 350'*.. I've actually got to buy a good torque wrench for the 11 ft lbs on that Vortec. I don't trust the big ones on that low of setting..??!!

Well if worse comes to worse throw a can of Bars Leak in the system and see what it does. I do not really recomend it but if there is no time to do anything on it. It must be better than to just leave it the way it is. I have used it in vehicles before and they are still running strong right now and that was 100 xxx miles ago that it sprung a leak. (97 Vortec powered Suburban)
