Default Bonneville beyond 2006?

Rumor of a Buick Lucerne, 5.3L V8, and all new 6-speed automatic.
Buick LaCrosse arriving with 3.8L OHV and 3.6L DOHC engines.
Grand Prix GXP with 5.3L V8, and 4-speed auto. coming

Where does that leave the Bonneville in the coming years?
Any rumors?

A lower cost version of the RWD Cadillac STS with a 3900 V6, 5.3L OHV V8, and 6.0L LS2 would be nice to knock heads with the 300C.

Hmmm...May just have to drive the 95 into the ground and revive her for the rest of my life...I wonder if that'* possible? To Drive one vehicle forever and never let it die? Just keep fixing what breaks...That would be a true test of dependability??

One rumor is that they would combine the Grand Prix with the Bonneville and call it the G8. I hope they do not go this route with the Alpha-Numeric car names. Anyone remember some of the past A-N names? The T-1000, J-2000, and , of course, the memorable 6000. Pa-leeze Mr. Pontiac(aka. Lutz) don't go there again!

I worry about GM'* future. They are some of the best cars out there. However, people don't like the high prices and lack of radical desighns. They might do something special for 07' but after that the Bonny is most likely history.
