Another Tire Question. :)
Hello all. I did a search to this question but didn't find anything to help me so here it goes and sorry if it was asked before and I missed it.
I have an 1989 Black & Gold Bonneville SSE and a 1988 6000LE (Special Touring Edition), though I use the Bonneville (Just bought a few weeks ago). Now want I would like to know is what would happen if I moved the rims and tires from my old 6000 to the Bonneville? I see that the SSE uses P215/60R16 tires to the LE'* P195/70R14. I need to replace the tires but hate to pay out $600.00 for 4 - 16" ones when I have great newer 14" on the 6000. Why do 16" tires have to be so expensive. :(
Is this a bad move and what effects would it give going from a 16" rim to 14"?
Thanks all for your advice.

Thanks for the replies guys, though I live in Canada and even the cheap Wal-mart or Canadian-Tire ones are like $100.00 a pop. (Don't want to go that cheap in a tire)
Oh, it'* a bit off base here but any idea'* also on a live wire that might be used in the trunk that could be used for adding a sub & amp in the trunk? Hate to run a wire from the battery to the back if not needed.
Thanks again all.

I got four Starfire Flite-Line IV (Cooper-made) 225/60R16'* for $320 installed, tax and all. Unfortunately, I've got a wholesale hookup that'* available for immediate family members though my high school autoshop.

I agree with going online. Tirerack.com and wheelmax.com are pretty good places to go. And since they are on the internet, even you guys up der can get em

And if you feel like spending less money for good 16" tires, look at a set of Falken Ziex ZE-512'*. They're a high perfomance all-season that are as good as the high-end performance tires on dry pavement, and better than most snow tires on wet and icy roads.
I got mine for $408 at Sears, mounted and balanced. They're the best tire for that amount of money, period.
