So yesterday I got home and I notice that one of the neighbors that lives down the street is pulling into my driveway on his Moped (hes only like 13 or something) and his friend is on his Go-Ped following him. So we are standing there talking and out of the blue the kid looks at my car and says:

"SE....that stands for shitty edition"
Me: "Actually it says *TE, and it stands for special touring edition
Him: "A GTP is better"
Me: "Well, a GTP can be better in ways, but this is much cheaper than a GTP, is just as fast, and has all the same options a GTP has...not to mention it is before GTP'* even came out."
Him: "Its not as fast as a GTP...GTP'* are Turbocharged"
Me: "This is turbocharged...but GTP'* aren't turbocharged."
Him: "Yes they are"
(and all this time the neighbor kid who knows we have 4 GP'* is shaking his head knowing that the other kid has already made a big mistake)
Me: "No, GTP'* are Supercharged not Turbocharged."
Him: "GTP'* are Turbocharged, my mom almost bought one, I've seen the engine, and this isn't turbocharged anyways"
Me: "Ummm...yes it is, thats why it says TURBO in big letters on the side of the car...come here and look at this (as I open the hood)" And like I said GTP'* AREN'T turbocharged, they are supercharged...but its not like I would know, there isn't a GTP in the garage stall in front of my car or anything, and I sure as hell haven't had the supercharger off the car and held it in my hands before. -PAUSE- And the GTP in the garage will smoke most Ferraris.
Him: "No it won't...Ferarris are fast."
Me: "Some Ferarris aren't THAT fast, and the car in the garage is"
Him: "Well even if your car is a turbo, a GTP is still faster"
Me: "My car can easily keep up with a stock GTP."
Him: "GTP'* are fast, there is no way your car can keep up."
Me: "GTP'* are fast, yet a very moded one can't keep up with a Ferarri???"
Him: "You're car is really old, its a POS"
Me: "What do you drive..oh yeah, your 13, you drive a motorized Scooter."
Him: "Well my mom has a Corvette that shes gonna put a 383 stroker in."
Me: "Well, for one thats your mom, like I said my dads GTP will smoke both ferraris, however let me know when she gets that 383 in the Vette, so I can beat it in my shitty editon Grand Prix."
Him: "You're car can't even spin the tires."
Neighbor Kid: "Umm...I think we should go...I know that car will burn the tires off easily and there is no sense in arguing since you're gonna lose anyways."
Him: "Well, I have one thing you don't have, my scooter has straight pipe exhaust"
Me: "And my CAR is still louder even with 2 mufflers.

So then they left. 5 minutes later I left to go to work. Drove by the neighbors house and they were standing in the driveway. The neighbor yelled "DO A BURNOUT!" This house is the one on the corner of the major road to the subdivision and the street into the subdivision. So I turned out onto the road at stomped the gas at about 5mph, both tires broke loose and just smoked and smoked and smoked...it was actually pretty decent. Went over and talked to them today, and the kid had absolutely nothing to say...it was pretty hilarious.

But the kid just picked the wrong person to pick on. How did he know that one of the fastest GTP'* in the country was sitting in my garage, and that i know way more than just about any 16 year old about L67'* and Grand Prixs and even cars in general. Next time I see him I'm gonna ask how the 383 is coming.

This is the same kid who a few minutes earlier was talking about putting a derailer and gears like a mountain bike on his scooter.

I know, thats why it was so funny. When I was 13 if someone was telling me about their car, I didn't tell them that they were wrong about their car, unless it was like a Cavalier and they called it a Corvette or something. When the kid starts telling me my car is crappy, well, then I don't play nice anymore.

Damn... this was a good story... almost as stupid as the kids in my development. So, I am outside cleaning my wheels and whatnot and notice that a delivery truck is at some guys house dropping off a washer and dryer or something of the sort. I think nothing of it, and take the bonneville in the garage to appy the NXT. I back it out to admire my work and take a few pics of it, when I hear loud yelling. Apparently, the kid who lives there decided to have a friend over... and they were beating the hell out of each other with the hard cardboard corner pieces. I don't mean that low grade corigated stuff, this is the hardcore 90degree bent corner pieces. It was priceless... they were just standing there hitting eachother (hard) with those pieces. I had to take a seat and watch... i was going to record it on my digi cam... but the damn batteries died right away.

So their neighbor... the person who lives across the street from me... goes outside not to stop them or ask what the hell they were doing but she yells at them for being on her lawn, it was priceless....

I know exactly what you mean though. I hang out with them all the time. I see these things. I know I am probably the same way, but I don't think that I know it all. Maybe I appear to, or act like I do at some times, because to tell you the truth, I am just your avarage teenager, but I know in the back of my head at least that I don't know everything. Its just that is the one thing that I do know a lot about. I don't know everything about L67'* or GP'* in general, but I do know more than average, so its just not something that is smart to argue with me unless you also have a bit of experience with L67'*, you know what I mean?
