Default back with questions

ive been in maryland for a week on vacation.... EVERYONE has rims on everything there.... now im eager to get rims. i know everyone has asked wheel/rim questions before but i also know nothing about these yet.

i talked to a shop today... i want 17 inch or 18 inch big fat 5 spokes, like on BMWs, non chrome. they said they can get me 17 inch rims, the rubber, mounting/balancing , and delivery for $1200 and 18s for $1300. i really liked 18s over 17s. will either of these fit and work without scraping or rubbing? and are these good prices?

also i saw a grand am HO. is this high output? whats it mean? thanks

18'* are going to be a fairly harsh ride.

ok 17s are more affordable, will i encounter any problems rubbing/turning the tires?? and is $1200 for it all reasonable?

17 inch rims wont rub the fenders, its the TIRES. Find out what size of tires that will be going on these wheels. Im guessing that 235 50 17s ought to do it? 18s would look slick, rough ride but NICE to look at. and for $100 more....ide have to say go for the bling. Chrome would be better on 18s I think.

17" Non Chrome wheels with tires for 1200$? Hmmm, I got my set between 700-800$, and they are Silver 17" with A rated tires. Mounting and balancing was another 60$. I would say look around, especially on the internet and ebay. You can get BMW rims fairly common it seems like. Tirerack has some good stuff.

No, no cutting is necessary. It would be a rough ride, your going to need low profiles, and the rim is heavier than stock and you got more rubber on the ground, so not only ride, accelerating from a dead stop will be weakened also.

Tire rack is good. Shipping was cheap

do 18s..........they'll fit fine with a 245/45/18 or 235/50/18 tire

ride won't be as bad at they say it is......trust me
