Default Weirdo idea?

I was thinking the other day about all the possible mods for a Series 1, and something popped into my head and wouldn't leave.
All through the process of having my engine replaced earlier this year, people at the dealer(i.e. mechanics, car-salesmen, service reps) kept asking me why I didn't just go ahead and move up to a Series 2. My answer was that I would have to change EVERYTHING, engine, SC, PCM, wiring, fuel system, and on, and on...
Well last night I got to thinking, "What would it actually take to do this?"

So I open the question up to the world in general:

What would actually be required to convert a Series 1 L67 Bonnie to a Series 2 L67?
--------------------------------------ALSO----------------------------------
If you were doing this yourself, with the opportunity to build your car from the ground up, what aftermarket/alternative pieces would you include?

Remember, this list is for PERFORMANCE on a daily driven car, so no TVs or neon or wings or other crap...
Other than that, go nuts, blue sky, have fun people!!!

Actually less then you think. Spiral did this. He used a S2 motor, S1 wiring harness (modified some lengths) and a custom PCM.

It is for sale...

Too much work for me. Probably would be cheaper just to go buy a 96+

I actually thought of buying an S2 car from the junkyard, yanking the engine and piecing a hi-po motor together over a couple of months, then dropping it into the Epitome.
If nothing else, the cost of a junkyard motor is lower that the core charge for the INTENSE block and heads I want. So I could save some cash there.
Move up to an M120 or so for the SC(thinking some SERIOUS mods here).
While I'm tearing the car apart anyways, I'd go ahead, strip it to the bare frame and get it de-rusted and re-painted(same color gray but just a tad more silver, in a candied finish), then do some stiffening and possibly install a disccreet rollcage.

Your going to do a rebuild anyways? Well I guess that you could try, you would be down a car for quite some time. You would have to do all of the conversions from S1 to S2. I don't think that it would be worth all of the work. Are you thinking about doing a bunch of stuff to the internals? Beefing it up a bunch? Your thinking about adding more boost that recommended? IF you were to do all of this you would most likely have to beef up your tranny too. I don't think that it will be able to handle the extra power and torque for an elongated period of time. There is also a lot of extra stuff out there that we probably aren't thinking about. But, I'm not necesarily the guy to talk to about this. You should give a line to Vital, he did it. He should know everything you need. If you want to do a S2 swap, you have the time, money, capabilities, and everything else, go for it. you would have one of the rarest bonnies out there!

I am considering the same thing. Got my 93 SSEi that needs and engine, and I am just waiting for the time and money aspects to become right. I would recommend having a second car though, as from what I have heard in researching this, it will take some time.
Good luck if you do go for it and take lots of pictures for those of us to follow.

When my tranny takes a ****, i'm going to do this.. as much as I don't want to, however. But you can thank Bill for making me want to do this. If you have OBDI, you will have tons of wiring to do.. if you have OBD1.5 it would be much easier.

OBD 1 is A LOT easier then II. It'* possible to get the series II started on the 93 PCM from what i remember him telling me, but i could be mistaken.

Basically you just need to adjust a few tables for sensors, and your Fuel table... Otherwise it'* all relatively the same.

Im guessing that it would be a lot more work to put an s2 in a 87-91?
