When I go to start my car it kinda goes rrr rrr rrr vroom, iv just noticed it doing that latly. Before it was like rrr vroom no problem. everything seems great driving, but it has kind of a hard time during cold starts it seems. Any ideas on what to look for to resolve it?
I know its not the battery.

Oooo oooo ooooo I know I know!!

Try the Fuel Pressure regulator. Fixed the exact same problem on mine!

The way I tested it was after it had sat for a while (overnight) i open the pressure relief valve and no fuel came out. So what was happening was the fuel, rather than staying pressurized, was slowly draining back to the tank.

Hope this helps.

GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM JOHN!!!

Sounds about right i think. Maybe a misfire too? Bad plugs/wires could contribute to this.

That really sounds like the best assessment. And sounds like I'll need to check mine, too.

My "new" 2003 Malibu LS does that some times. It can start up after 1 crank or as tonight after leaving the gym it turned and turned and turned and turned then finally started. I did it earlier today too, and the car only sat for about an hour. I friend of mine that works at the gm dealer that I bought it from said that he noticed alot of cars doing that lately ( new cars). I wonder why??

Hmmmmmmmm.
