Ok there I agree with all of that. I dont mean to say that the Bonneville is not fast heck I would have one myself but wel eyes are on other things. By abuse I mean driving up to someone gunning it then taking off. Stop light to stop light racing ALL the Time. Telling everyone he meets because he has a supercharger that he will beat their car in a race. even Motorcycles LOL. Yes Pontiac take alot heck it is a Gm after all. Running it out of oil then blaming it on a cooant leak. Basicly treating everydrive in it like you are going for the winston cup. Yes I gun my daily ride everyonce and awhile but not all the time. This person is a nice kid who does not understand that yes his car has power but it is not a tank it will break and there other cars out there that will just plain smoke him. basicly thinks his SSEI is the fastest v6 ever made and voices it all the time.
To 1993 SLE I know the difference. Racing is done safely on a track. Abuse is done on public roads.

Well, by the sounds of it, he won't need to worry about bragging too much longer.
I'd say all you can do is show him the error of his ways, and let him make his own mistakes

No offence, and you seem like a nice person, but your friend is a moron. Some people you just can't help.

Your friend will probably learn that Bonne trannies don't seem to like that kind of abuse. I think Gordy and Will have pictures of what it will look like when his diff decides it'* had enough...

If someone finds/posts them, maybe you'll be able to show him proof of what you're trying to tell him

Die, are you aware that our drivetrains were developed from the Turbo V6 in the Buick Grand National? Turbo swapped to supercharger, turn the engine sideways. That'* essentially what we have here.

SSEi isnt the fastest v6 made?!?!?

Its at least a very respectable engine, sounds like your friend may have a little growing up to do.

It doesn't matter what he'* driving in that case. Even a race car can't run without oil.

Street racing, although illegal and unsafe, isn't always abusing the car. You can abuse it just as much on a dragstrip as you can on the street.

Basically it sounds like this guy doesn't take care of his car and beats on it hard. A Bonneville has nothing to do with it in this case in terms of how it will last. You treat any car like that and it'll eventually break.

Most kids think their cars are more than they really are - regardless if it'* a Bonnie or not. Trust me...I've got two driving.

Overheard in class while in high school (true story)

Boy to girl " Hey baby, wanna go for a ride in my 'Vette after school?"

Girl back to boy "you mean CHEVETTE and no, I don't"
